Hi Anne! I like your site. I read that you have a holiday place in Sweden. How different is Svensk from Norsk language? Can you be understood if you speak Norsk to someone in Sweden, or must you learn Svensk to communicate? Or do you just use English, since many people speak it? I only speak English (and some French). When I'm in Scandinavia, people speak to me in the local language if I'm alone, but if my husband is with me, they address us in English! He must look American (or British, Canadian, Australian, South African?)! I have Scandinavian ancestry (Norwegian & Danish), so I guess I look more like a native of those countries. What makes someone "look American?" Is it clothes, hair, how they walk, etc,?
